Daylon is one of few Twiggers who show their ears. Twiggers, living as they do in a large wild world, hear very well. As sensitive instruments, they keep them concealed. Daylon, though, is a little hard of hearing and keeps his ears out so he can hear better. He still has moments though.

Recently, someone suggested he ride a bronco bull. When you don’t hear well, your brain tries to fill in what makes sense. He’s never heard of a bronco bull but filled in the gap with “conch shell.” Conch shells aren’t all that exciting but he went with it.
