Fran

 

 Fran has one of the finest examples of agates in any of the Twigger Agate Hunter collections. She helped Dibble as he was digging his agate from the black top (see Dibble’s story). After successfully extricating the agate that had been embedded in the tar for many years, they walked back toward the Twigger Village. Fran found this fine agate in the loose gravel near where they frequently walk. She carries it with her to teach others about agates and also has a cone of polished agates to show what they look like when smooth and shiny. When she’s had enough of talking about agates, she hides them under her voluminous skirt.
