Flip is the Twigger’s beautician. She takes her job seriously and beautifies most of the female Twiggers and a few of the males. She’d really like to get her hands on Burly Man.

Flip only has a scissors for her clipping chores. She’s heard of all the fancy equipment that human beauticians use, but then they have electricity and she doesn’t. Some day she’d like to visit a modern salon, though, just for the experience.

 

Just before spring arrived in Central Minnesota, Flip hitched a ride to town to visit Denise, a human magician with scissors. Flip was excited to see the blow dryers and curling irons in action and Denise was thrilled to introduce her to the human world's beauty wonders.
