Calvin

 

Calvin put some thought into the concept of “agate hunter.” Of course it means one who hunts for agates. But he mulled over the idea of agates being a shield for a hunter, therefore being a hunter whose image was of one being protected by agates as he hunted. It’s a heavy shield for a little guy but he’s a strong youth. He balances the weight of those in front with a lovely stripy example which he holds at his back.
