Thorn

 Thorn 

(acorn, twigs, pine cones, pistachio nut shells, clematis seeds)

            Thorn carries a hawthorn branch. His bird, Bristle, rides along on the branches. Thorn used to try to carry Bristle on his shoulder but Bristle attaches herself to anything touching her. If she wants to fly, she must be careful not to Velcro herself to anything. She’s not much of a flyer anyway.
