Fern
Fern (twigs, acorn, pine cone boots and dress, weed seed heads (2 kinds), fern “frond” hair and dried berry “pom pom” on her hat)
Fern’s favorite dance is the Charleston, a dance popular in the 1920s. Twiggers have been around for a very long time. If you ask Fern her age, she might tell you, but likely she won’t. She might have been a teenager in the early part of the 20th century or she could be a young lady who just likes the history of dance. Her dreads might make you think she’s more trendy. Ask her about krumping and whacking.
Fern heard about a pole that was open for business in town. She’s heard of pole dancing and since she is a dancer, she wanted (needed) to check it out. She was very persistent. Fern is shy and found the pole to be cold so stayed snuggled in for a while. She wore her best flapper dress and now wonders if maybe that isn’t a usual style to wear for pole dancing. She's also wondering if this is the right kind of pole.

Twiggers have a lot to learn but they’re adventurous
and Fern is no exception.
1-14-23 The pole people, not to be confused with Poles, invited Fern in for coffee and gingersnaps. She was so taken by their hospitality, not to mention those sweet little cookies, that she's decided to stay. She's also given up pole dancing.
Already this visit has broadened Fern's horizons:
"In talking more with Fern while devouring Ginger Snaps, we discovered that she is a fan of Snap Boogie. Born Cjaiilon Andrade, Snap Boogie is a street performer in Boston who specializes in tap, acrobatics, and boogieing. He got the name “Snap” from his uncle, who was also a street performer. Snap Boogie was a finalist on season six of the hit television show 'America's Got Talent.'
Needless to say, Fern is thinking of changing her name to 'Snap' Fern." - David Bengtson, owner of the pole
